… wandering around after checking in to my temporary digs … people hard at work … pounding nails and painting walls … oh wow! … is it true? … stick my head in …

      “Sis? You open already?”

    … move a bit farther inside …

I smile happily when Jaclyn pokes her pretty head inside the saloon and motion her in.

“Hi Sis. Come on in. Yes, we’re open. I figured that in between getting settled in, many would appreciate relaxing with a cocktail, coffee, or the liquid refreshment of their choice.”

“I also put out some snacks.”

… smile at Sis as she works to make everyone welcome … step behind the bar …

“Hope you don’t mind if I make my own drink, Sis. Can I make you something? Just keep it simple, I’m not Sam, you know!” #Giggle

… and there’s my brand new bottle of Grey Goose in the freezer … and the pot of lives and container of bleu cheese … set about making my own stuffed olives … and then pour Goose direct from the bottle into my glass …

Entering in I find it is an early morning and for me normally I am not active until later in the day but this morning is… different. how so is beyond my question knowledge but none the less I find myself here again after a late night and a looong one

Raising my head feeling the intense pain and pressure of a headache I wave over a waitress for assistance.

I know how this works. You walk in, say ‘hi’, then wait for someone to say hi back.

    “Hi!”

I smile happily when two more Ladies enter the saloon.

“Hello Miss Diana. Hello Steffy. Welcome to the Steel Horse Saloon. Ver 2. May I serve you something to drink?”

As I go through the renovated halls of Lacy, I stumble on a familiar sight: The Steel Horse Saloon. I decide to step in.

    Hello everyone!

Seeing Jacqueline serving food and drinks to some patrons at the back, I head there.

Hey Jacqueline! Sooooo nice to see you again! I love what you did with the place!

I give Jacqueline a hug making sure not to make her drop anything

Looking for sissies in all the right places.

“Ugh!” I growl feeling just horrible.

“A good hangover cure and an espresso would be spectacular Jacqueline” I say as my head nearly crashes on the table I’m sitting at before I hold it together.

Looks much the same, same sawdust, same peanuts probably. Must find out if that’s true.

I know how this works. Sidle in, and see how long it waits for a drink to appear… Is Jacqueline on her game?

I smile and share a hug with my friend Alexa.

“Hi Alexa, welcome to the Steel Horse. Thank you. It’s great to see you.”

“Would you like something to drink?”

I nod with sympathy to Miss Diana. I’ve been there myself. More than once.

“An espresso, and my special cure for a hangover. Coming right up Miss.”

I pour the coffee and then the tomato juice based cure and serve it to her table.

“I hope this helps Miss. Thank you for coming in.”

“Hi Taffy,” I shout while hurrying over to give her a hug.

“It’s great to see you. Welcome to the Steel Horse.”

“Can I get you something to drink. I know I should, but I can’t for the life of me remember your favorite. Getting old and senile. Giggle.”

I brace for being Jacquelined, and return the hug.

“Hi to you too, Jacqueline. Long time, like what you’ve done with the place.”

    I giggle.

“Senile? You? Oh, never, not a spring chicken like you. Ok, two words. Gin. Tonic. Ice. Three words. With lemon. Um, five words then. That’s three-ish, right? I volunteer as official Gin Tester!”

“Ah of course. How could I forget? Giggle. Coming right up. I do remember that you’re an official gin taster.”

I grin while fixing and serving the drink.

“You tell me, Jacqueline, I could feel unwanted.”

And then a different tinier blonde assaults me, and gets a hug back.

“I did, Miss J, I did. Been waiting long for me? Drinks on you? Well, if you say so. What you’re wearing doesn’t stain, I hope?”

I giggle, not letting go. She can squirm out if she tries a little.

I pop my head in through the Steel Horse doorway to see how the old place looks, following its refurbishment.

There are quite a few familiar faces already here, I see.

    “Evening, everyone!”

OOC I am going out in literally 2 or 3 minutes, so won’t be able to answer any replies.

    “Hello Mechelle. Welcome back.”

Smiling happily, I hand her a shiny new Steel Horse Saloon Manager pin.

“Amy is helping out behind the bar while I do some meeting and greeting.”

… Taffy doesn’t seem to want to let go … so I don’t try to let go either …

“Hey now, if you’re going to sample the Hendricks, we need to sit down. I think.”

… urge her toward a pair of seats … one has my martini …

“So did you see that some Welsh guy is leading that Tour de France thing? He’s really pale! Does the sun ever get to Wales?” #Giggle”

I giggle, allowing myself to be led astray.

”Oh yes, never standing up if there is an alternative. I may need at least one hand as well. Besides I am moderately convinced you are you now and not some figment of Jacqueline’s imagination, so sitting is good.”

    Cycling?

”Sun? Of course it can be seen in Wales, we have festivals for it. Every tenth year on a Tuesday in April usually. Can’t you tell by how pale I am too?”
